Claudia Schaub Board Member

Claudia Schaub grew up in a small town in Massachusetts and lived in New England for 30 years. She worked in marketing for a computer company based in Manhattan when it was a fledgling industry and traveled the US training salespeople and conducting seminars. She moved to the Monterey Peninsula in the 80’s, met her husband Steve, and had two children.
After staying at home for a season to raise her kids, Claudia joined the staff of Salinas Valley Community Church where she held a variety of positions over her 14 year tenure. As Community Outreach Director, she organized volunteers and collaborated with city businesses and non-profits to serve Salinas and carry out their “Loving Salinas” mission.
Claudia has always had a heart to help others by volunteering in many areas over the years, including Big Brothers and Sisters, Natividad Women’s Shelter, Dorothy’s Kitchen, SVCC Adult Literacy Center, and La Joya Elementary School.
After retiring, Claudia began volunteering at Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley, delivering food and a friendly smile to homebound seniors where she has grown to love her “peeps.”
In her spare time, Claudia likes to garden, take long beach walks searching for sea glass, kayak, travel, and spend time with her family.
