South County Senior (SOCOS) Social and North County Senior (NOCOS) Social

Would you like to help seniors enjoy a free lunch and at the same time, get your business noticed by those living in the community? Become a sponsor of SOCOS/NOCOS Socials! These events are held throughout Monterey County including at sites in Soledad, Greenfield, King City and Castroville. Visit the webpage with dates/details of each event.

Launched in 2021, Meals on Wheels Salinas Valley (MOWSV) created a congregate meal program for those seniors who were able to leave their homes and meet others to enjoy lunch and socialize. These socials combine a fresh lunch, live music and/or an activity, take home boxes of fresh produce from the Food Bank for Monterey County and senior resources presented by local, non-profit agencies.

MOWSV hosts four SOCOS/NOCOS socials each month in North and South Monterey County and two Salinas Senior Socials named SASSO. We are looking for sponsors for our SOCOS/NOCOS Socials. Sponsors will be promoted with signage at the lunch tables and can provide information and giveaways to be placed at the center of each lunch table. The sponsor will also be acknowledged during the event announcements.  NOTE: No events held in January and July.
