Ways to Give

There are many ways to support our work:

DONATE ONLINE:

We accept donations on our website. Go to “DONATE" and follow the instructions to make a one-time online donation.

MONTHLY GIVING:

Donate a set amount each month by visiting our “DONATE" page and enrolling in monthly giving - an automatic credit/debit card charge or call us to authorize MOWSV to bill your credit/debit card or by setting up automatic bill pay to send a check.

MEMORIALS/HONORARIA:

Remember or honor a special person with a gift to Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley. Ask friends and loved ones to make a donation in your name to celebrate a special occasion rather than giving you gifts.

DONATE BY PHONE:

Call us, 831.758.6325, to make a donation with your credit/debit card.

DONATE BY MAIL:

Send your check payable to Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley, Inc. to our office located at 534 Abbott Street, Salinas, CA  93901

DONATE YOUR VEHICLE:

Vehicle donations are a unique and impactful giving option that helps Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley support meal delivery for homebound seniors. Your unwanted car, van, truck, boat, motorcycle, SUV or even a plane can be accepted as a donation. Your generosity qualifies for a tax deduction and we'll do all the heavy lifting! The pick up is free and we'll schedule it during a time that's convenient for you. Go directly to the car donation page. And, remember to please select "Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley" as the program that you would like the proceeds of the sale of your vehicle to benefit. Or if you prefer, call 855-500-RIDE (7433) to begin the vehicle donation process over the phone.

PLANNED GIVING:

There are many ways that you, your friends and family can help us continue our mission. Planned Giving allows an individual to support a non-profit agency beyond their lifetime.

Some of the most common methods of Planned Giving are through a Bequest in a Will or Trust; by assigning Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley as the beneficiary of a Life Insurance Policy, IRA, tax-sheltered annuity or profit-sharing plan; as well as Charitable Gift Annuities that offer tax advantages to you and your estate while supporting our program.

With any of these options, it is best to consult your attorney, financial advisor or accountant to discuss your specific circumstances. For more information on how Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley can fit into your Planned Giving, please contact our Executive Director.
