Blue Zones Project Honors MOWSV
A small celebration was given in honor of Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley (MOWSV) being acknowledged as a Blue Zones Project Participating Organization (BZP) on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. Regina Gage, ED and Brenda Rivas, Program Administrator (Brenda coordinated the project with MOWSV staff and kept everyone on track) accepted a certificate from Tiffany DiTullio, ED of BZP. MOWSV became a BZP Participating Organization by implementing healthy, evidence-based options to help improve its members' well-being - making healthy choices easier. A variety of healthy breakfast options were served to attendees including avocado toast, scrambled egg sandwiches, fruits and coffee. We received a plaque and a banner to display in our warehouse!
