MOWSV had additional help to deliver meals when the City of Salinas Police Department stopped by in June. The Chief of Police, Carlos Acosta, and several of his officers made themselves available to follow, in their patrol cars, a few volunteers. Our volunteers led the officers on their routes and were assisted in delivering meals to seniors. Many of our seniors were happy to receive their meals from an officer and enjoyed a quick visit with them. We are glad to have the support of the Salinas Police Department. Chief Acosta plans to make these delivery assists a regular practice. Thank you City of Salinas Police Department!
