Leonel Oliveira joined Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley as a volunteer in January 2019 and a year later was placed on the payroll as a part-time Program Assistant. Leonel came to Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley after his retirement employed by Monterey County at the Probation Department as a Deputy Probation Officer for 30 years. He previously was a Probation Officer for Merced County for four years. As a Probation Officer he specialized working with the mentally ill and drug-addicted population. Leonel obtained his baccalaureate degree in Psychology from San Franciso State University.  

Leonel brought his people skills and charm to serve the clients of Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley and we are so happy to have him on our MOWSV team.
