Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley staff, Regina Gage, Executive Director and Brenda Rivas, Program Administrator, participated in the 2021 Annual National Night Out Event hosted by the Soledad Police Department held at the Soledad Community Center. MOWSV had a table at the event with giveaway items to help spread the word about our meal program for homebound seniors.

National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support and participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

The event provides a unique opportunity for Soledad Police Department to join forces with thousands of other communities across the nation in promoting cooperative, police-community crime prevention efforts. Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley was excited to be a part of this community event in Soledad and look forward to participating in future events throughout the south county communities.
